This is a novel crystalization process which allows various minerals to from complex crystals and which also captures them for artistic purposes. Would be suitable for meaningful lampshades, stained glass, kalaidoscopes and for projections
Well spotted. Seeing dried out agar plates left in our incubator rooms inspired this process. I now mix agar with various minerals to make these images.
Oooh, beautiful. Which minerals are those? Or do different minerals produce similar cristals under your process?
Thanks Isabelle. Diffrent minerals produce different crystal forms. These ones are sodium chloride and magnesium sulphate
Is that dried agar? I think I’ve seen that before!
